There are friends who are like family. Friends that have been there in good times and bad. Friends that are like going home.
I’m lucky to have friends like that, and one of them got married last weekend to a lovely lady who is perfectly suited for him, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
We were the original wild girls, always having a good time. Now we’re in our thirties, and they even have kids. But we still know how to party (even if we can barely make it to midnight.)
It’s so easy to fall back into old friendships, and it should be just as easy to pick out an outfit to wear to the wedding.
Weddings are also a chance to put on a little sparkle. Since I’m committed to not buying anything new, I shopped my closet to put together an outfit for a wedding. I have several fancy dresses in storage, but because this was a more casual wedding and I wanted to be comfortable, I just added a long, beaded necklace to a simple navy dress and cardigan, and managed to create a special occasion look from items in my Fall 2015 capsule wardrobe. Selecting an outfit as a wedding guest can be a daunting task, but really, you probably have something you can put together out of your closet, too.

Old Navy cropped grey cardigan
beaded necklace, gift

Born bronze flats
Here’s proof that you can put together an outfit for a wedding with items you already own.
